As we handle food products, the ITO EN Group recognizes quality management as the most important aspect of our responsibility to our customers. We have established a strict quality control system from product design, raw materials and packaging materials to manufacture and distribution, by which we ensure product safety.

Development of health-conscious products that provide nutritional support

The global rise in health-consciousness and changes in lifestyles have led to inadequate intake of vitamins and minerals, and excessive intake of fat, sugar and salt has become a nutrition issue.
At ITO EN, we develop foods and beverages that contribute to health and propose healthy eating habits that meet the needs of our customers.

Promotion of health value (health and nutrients)

ITO EN’s Research and Development Division conducts research on a wide range of subjects, including tea, thereby contributing to the development of various products and improvement of the production process. Our strategy is to use this basic research as a foundation for devising on-target patent strategies, and perfect our initiatives by creating technologies that are unique to ITO EN.

To that end we have established a department specializing in patent and trademark strategies in order to link this basic research with our R&D efforts to develop unique and inimitable blending and production technologies; backed by our unique knowhow, and patent superiority not only in terms of numbers but also high-quality patents.

ITO EN indicates raw materials and nutritional information on the packaging of the beverage products that we sell. In addition, we voluntarily disclose the origin of raw materials used for green tea, barley tea, vegetable drinks and tea leaf products on product packaging and our website. We also disclose the results of radioactive material test measurements on our website.

For the package labels of our main products, such as Oi Ocha, we adopt labels for which we have adjusted the hole size and interval of the perforations to make them easy to remove.
In addition, we are promoting the adoption of PET bottle caps and can pull-tabs that are easy to open, even for weaker hands.

Under the principle of the observance of laws and regulations, ITO EN develops products based on the five concepts of “natural, healthy, safe, well-designed and delicious” by applying a rigorous quality control system encompassing all aspects of the products we offer to our customers, from raw ingredients to finished products.
We also strive to ensure that labelling and advertisements are easily understandable for customers by observing relevant laws and regulations.

Protection of Personal Information

ITO EN acquires the personal information of customers in a proper manner, observes the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" etc., and conducts the appropriate protection, maintenance and management of such information.
